New Test Coming For Discontinuous Metal Roofing Systems
During 2015, MCA continued its three-year research project on the impact of air permeability of metal roof products on wind uplift testing. MCA partnered with the University of Florida to develop a new test method that is more realistic and can be applied by most testing laboratories. MCA will introduce this new protocol in 2016 through an ANSI consensus, hopefully changing building codes to accept the new test.
