In 2022, Hurricane Ian caused $112 billion in destruction and damages to homes, residences, and buildings in Florida. In its recent Mitigation Assessment Team Report (MAT), FEMA concludes that metal roofs — with the correct installation and quality underlayment — performed substantially better under severe conditions. Metal roofing is becoming increasingly crucial to provide the strongest protection and performance.
